Galway Bay 10: An event for ordinary people with an extraordinary outcome.

Many people feel that to walk or run 10 miles is beyond their own physical and mental capabilities. Last year a variety of ages, shapes, athletes, non-athletes. comedians, business people, sports personalities and people undergoing treatment for cancer took part in Galway Bay 10. Some of them had never run or walked this distance before and while there were a few sore muscles the next day - there was an overwhelming reaction and sense of satisfaction at what had been achieved. Two hundred and fifty thousand euro was raised for Inis Aoibhinn Residence and Cancer Support Centre.
